If 2020 has taught us anything, its to expect the unexpected, and that includes planning for your wedding. It has shown that love conquers no matter what, and that weddings don’t have to be big and traditional. And that is why I have launched my new Small and Elopement Wedding Cakes.
I had a small wedding, and that was before a Pandemic told us we had too. I was married in 1995 and we had 25 guests, including 2 dogs at our wedding, so I know exactly what it takes to scale down a wedding from the ‘expected’ traditional large scale party.
Small Weddings and Elopements are beautiful for their intimacy. They can include everything you’d normally think of at a wedding, but just on a smaller scale. Sometimes they even gives you extra budget to splash out on something you thought you may not have been able to have.
I get so excited when I get to design wedding cakes, and love the challenge of small, personal designs for Elopement Weddings.
I will still be offering the same service: Tastings if you want them, Design Consultations and full delivery and set-up to a destination/restaurant of your choice. But I’m adding the possibility of having your chosen flavour of cake posted out to your guests, so they can enjoy your cake as well. Imagine that! Your guests will just love the surprise of a cake favour dropping onto their doormats!

Small and Elopement Wedding Cake FAQ’s
Can I have a Design and Tasting Consultation?
Of course. In times of Covid 19 this would, however, be slightly different from normal. I can send you a box of cake samples, which will include 2 slices each of 4 different flavours for you to try in the comfort of your own home.
We can then get together via a video call, to chat about the flavours you like and the design you want.
A box of samples will cost £25.00.
A box of samples plus a video consultaion will cost £35
If the total cost of your cake is £350+, the cost of samples and consultation will be deducted from the total (meaning, it’s part of the service)
Will you deliver?
Absolutely!! Like all my wedding cakes I will deliver the cake to a venue of your choice. This can be a restaurant, pub or even your home.
If I am delivering to a restaurant or pub, I will always call ahead and discuss the absolute best time for delivery so you don’t have to worry.
If your cake is to include flowers from a florist, I will call the florist to coordinate the best times to get the flowers for the cake.
Cost: Dependent on location, but this will be included in your final quotation.
What if I want cake boxes posted to absent guests?
After we agree which flavour cake you would like posted, I will get a guest list, including postal addresses from you.
If you would like to include a note I can either arrange for these to be printed, or take delivery from your stationer and include these in the boxes.
Each box can contain up to 3 slices of cake. The cake inside will be wrapped in cling film and then baking parchment to keep it fresh, they can also include a ribbon and bow to match your wedding colours if you wish. They will be packaged with allergy and storage information.
Cake Boxes will be posted via 1st class post, using the Click and Drop method. They will be posted on the day of your choosing. I cannot guarantee a day of delivery using this method, but for extra cost of posting I can use the Royal Mail guaranteed delivery service.
Cost: Including 1st Class Posting.
1 slice per box £4.00
2 slices per box £6.00
3 slices per box £8.00
Minimum order £40.00
Please enquire separately for printed messages, and guaranteed delivery service.
How Much will my Cake Cost?
This is the same for all my bespoke cakes, whether for a wedding, birthday or any other celebration.
Each cake will be quoted individually. The cost will depend on many factors from complexity of design, size of cake and location of delivery.
I have a minimum order for an individual cake of £100 before delivery.
If you have a budget in mind, please be sure to tell me so I can design within that. There is nothing worse than falling in love with a design, only to find it’s out of your budget. Some examples of costs can be found here.
I do also have a couple of Elopement Packages, designed just for small and intimate weddings. Click here to check them out.
